Introduction Roti Jala
Roti Jala is a popular Malay and Minangkabau tea time snack served with curry dishes which can be found in Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore. This is a very traditional Malay dish that is usually homemade and served at events such as weddings and festivals. It is usually eaten in sets of three to four pieces with curries, especially chicken curry, as a substitute to rice.
This is how to make Roti Jala. First Sift flour, salt and turmeric into a bowl then mix coconut milk and about a third of the water. Second pour in coconut milk mixture, eggs, another third of the water, and oil then gradually incorporate flour into the liquid to make a smooth, thick batter free from lumps. After all put the mixture inside bottle like the photo on top or a plastic bag cut some hole, then make like the photo on top.
